The mating flange surfaces compress the O-Ring, which is held in place by a metal centering ring, to generate the vacuum seal.VCR fittings seal by the compression of a gasket between two highly polished beads on the surfaces of the VCR connectorsl.Adapters available with male and female VCR connectors terminating in either CF or KF flangesl.
